Censorship and the silencing of dissent always comes from the political left. No surprises here, Waxman has been trying to silence Americans for his entire career, and he will continue to do so as long as he is in Congress.

And as for satellite, it is already in their sights, and it will be included in the Censorship Doctrine.

I have heard it said, however, that if any type of Fairness Doctrine were put into law, it could be immediately challenged in the courts....no?

I'm wondering what gov't agency will be tasked with making sure ALL internet sites with political commentary are 'fair and balanced'? Can you imagine moveon.org or slate thinking this is a good idea? Because it would also apply to THEIR sites. I just don't see across the board support happening for something like this.

Maybe I'm naive.

Besides, if that were the case, I would sure as hell go to satellite radio, as only 'airwaves' could be monitored since they are regulated by the government. Satellite radio is 'private' and cannot be governed. It's a product. Right?

I cannot believe what is happening in this country.
