I liked a lot of their translations, most likely because they seem true. One of my biggest quarrels with the President's speech last night was how he planned to cut the national deficit in half. While that would be wonderful, it seems quite unlikely. Even cutting off a small part of the deficit is pretty big news. I watched an interesting video on all of this at newsy.com earlier. It summarizes the State of the Nation speech as well as the GOP response and varying perspectives. It put Reagan, Churchill, and every other great historical orator to shame. There has never been anyone like him, and there will never be anyone like him.
