I completely disagree Leslie, I have heard her speak a couple of times now and she was very articulate as to her beliefs, and how she was raised. Why is it you all have to run to “someone is stupid” just because they don’t hold to your beliefs. She is absolutely right, the intention of marriage is to cultivate heathy families to raise children and a decent civilization. Gay marriage adds nothing to that.

Iowa recently had gay marriage forced onto them, guess what, the midwest isn’t flocking to Iowa to get married. The Democrats have become a laughing stock in the state because it is pretty obvious that they were planning this and the People of Iowa are quite upset.

Gay marriage is about gay divorces. That’s it. It’s about the money that can be made when these relationships break up. Ohhhh yes the Democrat party won’t admit to that, but when was the last honest Democrat, ohhh yeah it was Zell Miller, and look what happened to him. – Lorica

This is a media driven event….set up by the Miss USA pageant who in their great wisdom put the ditsiest gay man on earth on their panel of judges….they wanted this confrontation. Why weren’t all the contestants given some PC question? There is no fairness doctrine in these events…

I would say listening to this guy’s diatribe constitutes hate talk…and in the broadest sense pure torture. It makes your skin crawl thinking some other guy actually wants to have sex with him let alone marry the dude. Let’s go to the gay baths and find out what they really think of heteros.

I support gay marriage. I do not support the “humor” of Mr. Musto, who is, or was, a columnist for the Village Voice at one time. Ms. Prejean, not the brightest bulb in the old chandelier, is entitled to her opinion, such as it is. My guess is she’s got, say, oh maybe 6:28 left on the Andy Warhol 15-minute clock.

As far as the drive by media, this is why MSNDC’s ratings are so far below Fox’s that they would have to look up to see the underbelly of pond scum like KO. Gay marriage has more to do with the Trial Lawyers association than it does with concern for people. Imagine the money that can be made once these marriages start to break up. If you think the percentages are high for straight divorces, wait about 5 years, it will be ridiculous compared to gay divorces. Leaving aside the homosexual marriage question completely, I think ST’s main point was that this is about the 2,586,495th case of the so-called feminists turning a deaf ear to sexist remarks if they’re aimed at someone who isn’t politically correct. Once again, Carlos nails it perfectly: if Carrie Prejean had endorsed homosexual marriage and someone blistered her with the same type of crude comments we see here, the harpies would be shrieking madly and the commenter would have been fired already.

For example, Don Imus got fired for much less critical speech…his problem was he picked on a privileged group.

Wonder if Taxadvisor from the Foxx thread will show up here to express outrage and claim that the libs are now the fascists. Somehow I doubt it…that would be too principled and consistent.

Gays haven’t “become this way”, they were always this way. They don’t want to be treated normal or average. They want to be treated special. They dare us “breeders” to be disgusted by what they want to call “sex”. They condemn us Christians for believing their behaviors are sins. They hate themselves for what they are. They die an early death, from an abundance of behavior-related diseases. Gaity cannot hide the misery. A paper license will not give them a marriage. They don’t have my support, but they do have my prayers.

Jill, I agree. Years ago, before gay marriage became the heated issue it is today (compared to 2002, that is) I had no problem with gay marriage. I thought, “Who cares? How does it affect me?”

Well, now I see that the so-called victims of hate have become the HATERS. Unreal.

If only Gay activists would say, “I respect your opinion on tradional gay marriage, but I don’t agree with it, and I’ll continue to press the issue until it is legal.” They would find so much more support.

But no, they will hunt you down and abuse you. They call you names. They will harrass you and try to get you fired. Wow! It sounds like they’ve become the very thing they were against in the first place — bigots. It’s very sad.

And they’ve lost my support.

I will support homosexual marriage when two male homosexuals engaging in sexual activity with each other and only each other conceive without the support of any female or laboratory, gestate within one of their bodies and bring to full term and birth a human baby. Such an occurrence will show to the world our Creator blesses such a union.

If they can’t, well then I guess the homosexuals will just have to do without.
