Apparently, BHO exudes charisma as far as a lot of people are concerned. People want to like him. I've read that reactions to Hitler were much the same.

Well, most people. When they start to analyze his policies and scrape away his veneer, however, they'll find a Marxist.

Ya know, when parents get divorced the kids tend to like stayin' with the parent who lavishes the most goodies on them, at least until they grow up and realize how badly they've been used.

Wonder how soon the voters (not to mention our elected "representatives") will grow up and see how badly His Hollowness has used them for his own (very evil) intentions?

Oh, and there's more. This via Rasmussen:

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 45% now trust the GOP more to handle economic issues, while 39% trust Democrats more.

Time to start hammering away at "It's the economy, stupid", don't you think?

"Then it will be up to the Republican Party to provide a credible alternative."

Aye, and there's the rub. How many more McCains and Doles, or even Bushes can the Republicans throw at their constituencies before they really do become irrelevant?

The only reason W won in 2000 was he claimed to be a conservative. The only reason he won in 2004 was he was not a dangerous America-hater. But the out-of-control spending of Republicans caught up with the socialist-lite McCain, and now I know the conservative base of the party will want bonafides before committing to another of the party's leadership's candidates. "What I will do" has no meaning now, only "what I have done."

This is the only thing I found good in the “leaked” version of the Kennedy bill ..
The bill defines an “eligible individual” as “a citizen or national of the United States or an alien lawfully admitted to the United States for permanent residence or an alien lawfully present in the United States.”
It does leave a door the size of Texas for political games with the definition of “ lawfully present”.

According to Gallup, they polled 1,015 adults, aged 18 and older from May 29-31, 2009, the lowest common denominator in political polling. Polling people who may not vote and who may get their news from Entertainment Tonight helps explain why their approval on economic issues is as high as it is.
