CNN stringer, others, spreading false rumors about Sarah and Todd Palin divorcing

Posted by: ST on August 1, 2009 at 5:41 pm

Conservatives4Palin has all the details on the latest bogus rumor surrounding Sarah Palin, generated and spread by a stringer for CNN who also once upon a time engaged in Trig Trutherism as well. CBS News also has a pretty good roundup and debunks some of the nonsense being used as “evidence” of a divorce.

Palin spokesgal Meg Stapleton issued this statement earlier on FaceBook:

Yet again, some so-called journalists have decided to make up a story. There is no truth to the recent “story” (and story is the correct term for this type of fiction) that the Palins are divorcing. The Palins remain married, committed to each other and their family, and have not purchased land in Montana (last week it was reported to be Long Island).

Less than one week ago, Governor Palin asked the media to “quit making things up.” We appreciate that the more professional journalists decided to question this story before repeating it.

Sorry, left wing blogs – hate to interupt your latest wet dream about Sarah Palin but once again, your latest round of lies have proven to be false.

Since when did intent to seek a divorce become a story? Filing for divorce would be story. Attempting to read the Palins’ mind and read the tea leaves is at best speculation.

Another vile rumour turns out to the false, and Memeorandum puts it at the top of the page :-(

These people are obsessed with Sarah Palin! Why?? Are the men infatuated with her, are they lusting over her? Sure seems like it. And what’s with the women that they absolutely despise this woman. That’s what made me stand back and realize what is happening to our country at this time in history is big. We will either loose what we have forever or this will make our country stand up and fight for our liberty and the outcome will change our culture for the better, and God knows we need it. For years we have taken our freedom for granted and that just can’t happen any more. I for one will teach my children our true history and their right to vote is sacred and to honor it always.

Hey, where’s the kitchen sink? They just get sillier and sillier out there in left field..

    Liberals are just hateful…

  6. Ron Russell says:

As long as the left continues to view Sarah Palin as a future threat they will advance unfavorable stories about her and her family.

  7. KarenO says:

Nobody is perfect, including Sarah Palin and her family. I have several very conservative friends in Wasilla, Alaska. They grew up with the Palins and their kids went to school together. The Palin marriage has had it’s problems, no doubt, and so have the kids.
The left is totally accepting of every human failing and bizarre lifestyle–as long as you are a liberal and vote for their candidates. However, if you go to church, believe in the 10 Commandments, or even just basic decency, you held to a higher standard–one they seem incapable of applying to themselves. Because the left has no moral standards, they demand none from their elected officials and each other. They are the party of moral conveinience. Conservatives, on the other hand, are at least ashamed when they fail to uphold these higher standards.
Though Sarah Palin is not flawless she certainly outshines most of the democrats in office. She also loves her country, respects our military, and supports American culture and values.

  8. CZ says:

Don’t think for a second that these vile attacks are going away, this is just a start.

Never in my life have I witnessed such media hatred and I was a legal voter during the Nixon years.

It is not true! I wish the story will go away. They can’t make this stuff up.

  10. TSlice says:

You can’t believe anything you read in the media these days.

  11. Palin’s resignation obviously puts yet more pressure on Obama to finally get some results, as the soaring rhetoric isn’t hypnotizing the plebes like it used to… and now there’s another viable alternative waiting in the wings.

Alaska was a pretty corrupt system until she stepped in. Her reforms took on entrenched politicians (inc. Republicans), a mafioso-style union boss, and Big Oil.

Wouldn’t it have been nice if Obama had been principled and brave enough to confront the corrupt Chicago Democratic Machine? Or shady political operators like Tony Rezko? Racist preachers? Instead of doing business with every last one of them?

IMO Palin could trounce him in 2012, when Americans would vote for the Gipper-in-Heels in droves- they’ll surely being looking for such an antidote to the Bolshevik con-artist who’s currently taking a wrecking-ball to this society.

No wonder the far-left moonbats -along with Team Obama’s David Plouffe and his internet squads- are out to destroy her.

    Go get em ‘Cuda-

  12. Ron says:

Palin divorce rumors just business as usual from the enemies of a real conservative GOP

The Democrat left and GOP elites fear Palin’s popularity with conservative voters as well as her independence from their control and direction. They have done all they can do to destroy her marriage, family, children and her vision for America and will continue to do so.

To the GOP neocon establishment who have trashed and attacked Sarah Palin, Ron Paul, Peter Schiff and other potential Republican candidates far more than the liberal Democrats, your attacks just increase the popularity of Sarah and the Palin For President in 2012 website effort at LINK where we answer “Why They Hate Sarah”.

  13. Joseph Brown says:

CZ, I go back(voting wise) to Eisenhower and I have never seen anything like it either.
The closest thing I remember was the hatred of Richard Nixon.
I blame the complete takeover of our colleges and universities hiring of leftist professors and school administrators.

  14. That people are excited about the possibility of someone’s marriage and family falling apart (regardless of its falsity), is truly a testament to our cultural times. Why is divorce such exciting, juicy news? Shouldn’t it be troubling?
If the Palins were actually divorcing, I would be much more sad about it than Michael Jackson’s passing.
