If I recall the full article, which I read the other day, the law was declared invalid on a legal technicality rather than for its content. Whatevs. My question is: wouldn’t a responsible doctor do precisely that–show the woman the ultrasound?–w/o needing a law requiring it?

It is interesting that proponents of the current health care legislation support ‘end of life counseling’ while the same people go out of their way to ensure that there is no ‘beginning of life’ conversation.

Excellent observation. If a person doesn’t support this for a new life, full of potential, how much consideration and respect will they have for an elderly person who is no longer going to contribute much (or so they will say)? If they won’t give support to lives full of potential, the newborn, how will they treat the old and worn out?

As for women and abortions, about half the women I seriously dated had had abortions, one had multiple ones. None of these women were really “OK” with themselves in multiple ways, though it’s a chicken and egg thing here, which came first?

Although denied vehemently by the leftists and baby killers, it isn’t that big a step to killing older folks because they, too, are “inconvenient”. Just a baby step, you might say.

I can say I’ve seen the end results of abortion in people I know. No matter whether it was a “good idea” at the time, because of age or school, or other plans, the one thing I saw in their eyes, more than anything else, was regret.

I am sorry to hear about the law being struck down. I wonder what the pro-abortion people are afraid of? Seeing the same regret in the eyes of those they service?

Or do they even care.

A friend of mine from high school wrote to me, “I see you are one of those womyn (sic) who isn’t totally disgusted by Sarah Palin.” I wrote back, “Why would I be? I’ve never had an abortion.” You are 100% right they don’t care about choice! The choice is wear a condom or keep your legs closed. In the case where a child is conceived in the implementation of a crime and the baby has to be aborted, the sex offender should die, too! Just my 2 cents.
