Finger-lickin’ bad

One of the biggest stories of the day over at Memeorandum is the one about an ObamaCare opponent who apparently got part of his finger bitten off during a “healthcare rally” in Thousand Oaks, CA. KTLA reported:

THOUSAND OAKS — A 65-year-old man had his finger bitten off Wednesday evening at a health care rally in Thousand Oaks, according to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department.

Sheriff’s investigators were called to Hillcrest and Lynn Road at 7:26 p.m.

About 100 protesters sponsored by MoveOn.org were having a rally supporting health care reform.

A group of anti-health care reform protesters formed across the street.

The finger-biting incident occurred after a member of the group protesting health care reform, William Rice, 65, of Newbury Park, became involved in a heated discussion with a member of Code Pink, sheriff?s Capt. Ross Bonfiglio said.

After the argument, Rice returned to where his own group was standing.

A man from Moveon.org?s area then walked over to the opponents and verbally confronted Rice, allegedly calling him names and acting aggressively, Bonfiglio said.

Rice later told investigators he felt threatened by the man and punched him in the nose, Bonfiglio said.

The punch set off a fist fight between the two men, during which the tip of Rice’s left pinky finger was bitten off, Bonfiglio said.

Michelle Malkin responded to the story with the line of the day: “Opponents of socialized medicine must also adjust their chants: Hands off my health care…and teeth off my hands!”

Heh.

Seriously – how much play do you think this story will get in the MSM? Of course, not nearly what it would had this been a conservative pulling a Mike Tyson-esque move on a liberal like that. Think MSDNC will do a feature on the escalating aggression and violent tactics ObamaCare proponents are using against opposition in the same way they did the bogus story insinuating people openly carrying guns to town halls were “racists” who want to hurt the President? Nah … but KeithO wannabe David Shuster smugly Tweeted earlier today on how the victim of the finger-biting incident was treated by …. Medicare.

It never ends. 8-|

I’m sure it will be downplayed or even spinned so that the guy that got bit was part of a roving mob confronting a peacful protest supporting Obama care.

I can see the headlines now: “Code Pinko Peaceful Ralleyer Defends Self After Vicious Attack From Extremist Protester”

Yeah, that about sums it up for the Democrat water bucket carriers.

Strange! Usually the Obamanoids are giving the finger!

  4. Dave B says:

The guy was 65? Maybe the MSM will take the angle that “this is what happens when you allow people to live to an old age. They become senile rabble rousers and the most humane thing for society to do is… throw them in a wood chipper and use him for fertilizer because that would mean a ‘green’ job for the chipper operator and would be less expensive.” Our Green Job Czar could argue that by using elderly white people as fertilizer, we won’t be poisoning all the immigrants in the fields.

  5. Steve Skubinna says:

Actually, the first reports from the Obamedia were that the pro-Obamacare protestor had HIS finger bitten off by the teabagger. Who was probably a racist Nazi, too.

Darn those racist Nazis. Hate ‘em. I’d like to bite all their fingers off.

Their glee at the man seeking treatment from Medicare is good too. He’s 65 – what else is he supposed to do? I supose he collects Social Security too, let’s see how that becomes relevant.

  6. Bill G. says:

Man bites liberal – big story.
Liberal bites man – no story.

  7. Russ says:

Looks like the real purpose of Obamacare is to provide an all you can eat buffet of ” longpig” for Obama’s supporters

  8. Severian says:

    Yes We Can-nibel!!!!

If I were the guy with the missing finger, when on the news or in interviews I’d go on and on about maybe the rat will get my hepatitis or some other disease, just to freak the bastage out.

  9. Kate says:

Yes…he might even have to have a rabies shot (it sounded like a rabid crowd)…..get checked for HIV….hey, where’s his pony-tailed lawyer to sue for emotion distress. I don’t know a single lib who could live without a pinky finger why should a senior citizen be abused like this….

  10. Carol says:

Did anyone catch that the guy wasn’t there to protest Obamacare. He was there because he doesn’t like the direction Obamessiah is taking this country. The verbal confrontation then turned into a fistfight where the Obama supporter acted like a psycho child and bit the other man’s finger off. At least my guy fought like a man! Hee, hee, hee!

Seriously, this is huge and the media won’t touch it. Disagree with Obama and you’re labeled a racist and a Nazi. Agree with Obama and bite somebody’s finger off who doesn’t agree, not a news story. Total BS.

Where our country is heading really stinks.

The nut who bit off the finger has to be real proud of himself. Fer cryin’ out loud, my sisters fought better’n that when I was growing up!

If Duh-1 is gonna send goons out to protect “his” turf, he’d better start something better than sissies in pink panties.

Ok, y’all know I’m no libtard. And I know I’m going to take heat for this BUT… These quotes stand out:

Rice went to the Moveorons and argued:

A group of anti-health care reform protesters formed across the street.

The finger-biting incident occurred after a member of the group protesting health care reform, William Rice, 65, of Newbury Park, became involved in a heated discussion with a member of Code Pink, sheriff?s Capt. Ross Bonfiglio said.

After the argument, Rice returned to where his own group was standing.

So he argued and then went back to his group unharmed. At that time the obamatron came over to argue some more.

A man from Moveon.org?s area then walked over to the opponents and verbally confronted Rice, allegedly calling him names and acting aggressively, Bonfiglio said.

Rice later told investigators he felt threatened by the man and punched him in the nose, Bonfiglio said.

Rice threw the first punch. The Obamatron may have acted aggressively, but the Obamatron didn’t throw the punch. Rice did. That, in my book, puts him at fault. After all, the Obamatron only did what Rice did first. Go over and confront. Sorry, I can’t feel too bad for Rice. He started the fight and the moveoron has the right to fight back.

I reserve the right to change my mind if new info comes out. But based on this article, Rice is at fault.
