Obama is turning into Jimmy Carter faster than even I expected.

Rep. Joe Wilson had his moment in the the sun and his star shown brightly before quickly burning out under the watchful eye of Nancy Pelosi and the MSM—Joe you had it right, but then you backed down. Sadly Joe, people will remember the retreat more than that shining moment.

Protocol issues aside, [and the Dembot loonies in Congresscritterland yelled at GWB in 2005], Obama isn’t getting any traction on the fabled [largely mythical] ability of a good speech to sway the public in the marketplace of ideas. First of all, most Americans may have watched the great tennis match in the US Open or Monster Quest &/or Ghosthunters, all as important and realistic as the silliness that now pervades inside the Beltway.

When San Fran Nan displays an inability to move facial muscles [due to multiple Botox injections, no doubt] and a grinning buffoon like Biden reminds viewers that Obambi might not be as bad as the next-in-line, why not allow yourself an alternative by watching a DVD, the Yankee/Ray game, and wait for Dennis Miller afterwards to give a better sum-up than Bri-boy Will-i-ams or Katie Couric or even Chuck-[I despise Sarah Palin]- Gibson? Or the absent-on-vacation The Daily Show.

I like the way Duh-1 accepted Wilson’s apology today, saying we all make mistakes. The rest of it was pretty much a statement that “I’m right, you’re wrong, now it’s time to compromise by doing it my way.”

And I’ll bet there will be a couple of senators from the upper northeast (who can’t wait to hear how much the MSM loves them) who will justify their votes for this government grab by saying His Hollowness just sounded, you know, so nice and sincere and all, you know.

What a couple of mind slugs.

For once, well said. And admirable, since that is what the Founders intended from we, the people, a healthy disdain (or skepticism) of anything government. Too bad his entire political life is built around making sure peoples’ love goes to government as the giver of everything good, instead of to freedom as the basis to follow one’s dreams.
