I wouldn’t shed a tear over seeing Sanford go, but for my love for delicious irony. I mean, seriously, how cool is it for one Carolina to have a governor whose surname is French for “lost” while the other has a governor who actually went missing for a week? Can the Dakotas or the Virginias match that? Hmmm?

Although his political sins don’t rate anywhere near as bad as Tricky Dicky’s, his reaction to all the negative press surrounding his “fun trips to see my playmate” reminds me of Nixon’s televised reaction: “I am not a criminal”, said in very slow, very deliberate and very serious tone.

He, like Duh-1, Billy Bub, Blogo, Jefferson, and even Sharpton, just don’t get it.
