Classic liberal – the entitlement disease. It is very prevalent with Democrats. It doesn’t matter that so many folks are losing their jobs; that the healthcare issue is still up in the air and they have no intention of fixing social security; that there are soldiers sent to war in another country that is waiting for more soldiers to assist; that more and more folks are criticizing THIS administration for all the spending and stupid, wasteful programs they create for their supporters. Is anyone surprised?

I have nothing against Obama playing so much golf, he has to do something active to stay young and strong… but golf? Out of all sports golf? While his country is working 2-3 jobs a day to eat hes out playing 3-5+ hours of golf like if he was on a vaca. Dont get me wrong I like the guy and I did vote for him but right now is not the time for him to be playing golf 2-3 times a month. HES THE PRESIDENT and WE AT WAR/DEPRESSION!!!

I think Bill nailed it. There’s about a 95% chance that the usual suspects on the left and in the MSM (yes, I know that’s redundant) will do their best to have this disappear down the memory hole. I’m not even sure it will get any kind of play at FNC.

But if it does get any attention, the responses will be, in order: (1) it’s another unpatriotic attempt by the VRWC to destroy Duh-1, (2) it’s a distraction to keep the people from appreciating how wonderful his plans are for bringing FREE government health care, unicorns, and other amazing things, and (3) if no one buys into the first two, the spin will be that it shows what a finely toned and completely cool alpha male athlete he is.

If General McChrystal wants time with the president to discuss national security concerns, he should arrange to fill in for the White House caddy for a couple of days.

He has time to golf. . . and make split second decisions to fly to Copenhagen, but he is taking his time to discern the prognoisis for Afghanistan, right?

Just one question: Is MSNBC going to have exclusive coverage of Obama walking on water out on the lake to retrieve any golf balls he mistakenly dunks in a rare moment of lack of steely focus or, perhaps, more dramatic and more proof of his inherent greatness, genius and untouchable annointee status, parting the waters to swagger through the dry ground to scoop it up and effortlessly toss it back onto the green???

The spin from the left should be interesting. Reacting to past stories, the Washington Post claimed Obama playing golf while troops died “reflected a cool self-confidence”. Others called it being “unusually calm under pressure”.

In August 2003, Bush said he decided to stop playing golf to show his respect for the men and women serving in Iraq and Afghanistan and their families. “I don’t want some mom whose son may have recently died to see the commander in chief playing golf,” Bush said in an interview with Politico and Yahoo News on May 13, 2008. “I feel I owe it to the families to be in solidarity as best I can with them. And I think playing golf during a war just sends the wrong signal.” After being criticized for playing golf, he was then mocked by the media for quitting.

Meanwhile, Obama golfed on May 25 after he spoke and placed a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington Cemetery on Memorial Day. He also played golf on June 7, the day he returned from his trip to Egypt and Germany, where he visited Holocaust concentration camps, and Normandy, France, where as many as 6,000 American troops died when Allied Forces invaded the country during World War II.

Obama released a statement to the press that on these occasions, he sometimes observes a moment of silence before teeing off. Isn’t it great to have such a cool, confident and caring leader?

No one in MSM will say anything because they don’t want to be called out by Gibbs or Rahm or Axelrod for not being a true news organization. No one wants to be put on that hit list!

You bully the media and hint that anything less than favorable will not be tolerated.. and you don’t have to worry about little things like golfing when a decision on Afghanistan is needed NOW, or a remedy for 10% unemployment is needed NOW.

Just keep making all your critics out as bad or evil or greedy and you can smoke and golf to your hearts content.

I’m sure the Democratic Party’s propaganda ministries at CNN, ABC, NBC, and CBS, as well as the liberal blogs, will bury this story so the only place you will hear about it is at FOX or on the conservative blogs.

And if it does get into the public mainstream, then they will try to deflect any criticism of their Chosen One by using their usual defense that this is nothing more than a right-wing conspiracy to discredit Obama.

Okay, here’s my take on this. The left attacked Bush for golfing because it was an attack that was close at hand. They would never attack Obama the same way. The Right won’t attack Obama for golfing, because it DOES take him away from the Oval Office, and there’s a few hours where he’s probably not doing too terribly much harm.

For the most part, I want presidents to golf almost as much as I would love to see the congresscritters serve on a part-time basis and have to get day jobs. The big difference is that presidents DO actually go golfing, while the other is just a dream.

A beautiful, beautiful dream. Please don’t wake me.

Ah, but you see, Bush was an idiot, a mental sluggard who should have put all his mental energies into his job. BO is a Hawvud grad, obviously a mental giant, and can multitask to boot.

The fact that he was an affirmative action Hawvud law student acceptee, and an obviously affirmative action student, and a just as obviously Hawvud affirmative action graduate, has nothing to do with it, see?

Bush, too, was a Hawvud grad, but he wasn’t affirmative action (although he MAY have been accepted on the basis of family), but he was graded as a regular student (not affirmative action) and a regular grad (graduated on the basis of his work, not his skin color). If that is a racist statement, so be it – the parameters were set by the racists with affirmative action.

I wonder when all the liberal sleazebucketing will end? Never, I assume, because that is what, more than anything else, defines liberalism today.
