When a person writes a personal narrative, it is just that, a personal point of view. If you agree with it fine, if not, you should allow the person to have their opinion and let it go. But, the fact of the situation here is that the AP decided that they HAD to fact check Sarah Palin’s book….when did they fact check Al Gore’s flight of fantasy? How many people do they allot to scrutinizing the bills in congress that do have an affect on the population as a whole, and not just a group of people who might like to read an insider story of a campaign or personal biopgraphy? Doesn’t that strike you as just a bit odd?

If not, then, in all fairness ask the AP how many people they assign to any book that comes out….maybe you will see why we are at least a bit incredulous about their motivation.

And Sister runs a fine site here, many are welcome, even the occasional troll (who usually don’t stay and play long).

I have never said you censor anything. I did say if it does not show up I will assume censorship. I know what I wrote was at least halfway well written and biased neither one way or the other. As a result, if my comment were to not be approved, it would count in my eyes as censorship. The wonderful thing about censorship, is the censor effectively wipes away any evidence of their act. Censors also tend to target people who are more towards the center, based on the fact they prefer their opponents to be viewed as extremists to better galvanize people to their particular point of view.

Since you effectively post your positions for people to become familiar with, why not you become more familiar with mine before making an assumption about my thoughts? I’m always open for a healthy discussion and while I will defend my beliefs and positions, I do not ever assume I am 100% correct on them. Cheers! – JR

Truth is, people go to news organizations that reinforce their particular views. You don’t find many registered democrats watching fox news, and few registered republicans reading the new york times except to rant about in their little blogs. If you are a liberal and cannot bring yourself to say Clinton make a huge mistake in his personal life you are little more than a zombie. If you are republican and do not believe Rush makes racially charged statements you are a zombie as well.

Extremism on both sides of the isle is what needs to go. The right way forward is not to the left nor the right, it’s down the middle.

I also have to agree with Kate. I do believe that these guys are very afraid that when she gets elected, that she is going to put “the Republican’s house” in order. Which should have been done long before now.

Second, she was in NYC for the 2007 Republican Governor’s Association conference. I don’t know about you, but if I go to a convention or conference, If at all possible, I stay at the HQ hotel, because the whole point of going is to interact and schmooze with other participants.

What it does tell you is that they are really afraid of Sarah Palin. Is this an irrational fear? Are they being a bit paranoid? What is it that Sarah projects that makes them so tireless in their efforts to disparage her reputation?

I believe it’s the truth….and she’s a rank outsider. She’s contended with corruption and won in her state and they are afraid that if she were to win a national race that the spotlight would be turned on all their corrupt friends in Washington….so maybe the need to be scared, be very, very scared AP.

As for former McCain staffers, there’s a word that so aptly describes them no further elucidation need be made,…LOSERS!
