As if we needed any more proof of the moral bankruptcy at Dopenhagen

Chavez receives thunderous applause, especially when he rails against capitalism and America (via Andrew Bolt):

President Chavez brought the house down.

When he said the process in Copenhagen was “not democratic, it is not inclusive, but isn’t that the reality of our world, the world is really and imperial dictatorship…down with imperial dictatorships” he got a rousing round of applause.

When he said there was a “silent and terrible ghost in the room” and that ghost was called capitalism, the applause was deafening.

But then he wound up to his grand conclusion – 20 minutes after his 5 minute speaking time was supposed to have ended and after quoting everyone from Karl Marx to Jesus Christ – “our revolution seeks to help all people…socialism, the other ghost that is probably wandering around this room, that’s the way to save the planet, capitalism is the road to hell….let’s fight against capitalism and make it obey us.” He won a standing ovation.

In essence, that pretty much sums up what the whole “man-made” global warming hype is all about, doesn’t it? To these people, it’s not really about “saving the planet for future generations.” It’s about destroying capitalism and individualism in favor of a centralized and socialized “order” of sorts that will soak the rich, middle class, and poor alike – and not just of their money – in the name of the “greater good” – of those in power, that is.

Nope, not a conspiracy. Just the reality of it.

And keep in mind, this is one of Obama’s best buddies in Latin America.

On the other hand, maybe we should help convince all those third-world countries that went to Dopenhagen looking for handouts that Ooooogo is right….and that they should go looking to those socialist paradises for their free money and leave those of us who want to stay on the road to hell alone.

Socialism always loses, and Capitalism always triumphs. What happens is that the best, brightest, and hardest working people either leave, or quit trying.

    Dark days, my friends.

Just read where India and China walked out on the “Climate” talks.

    Hmmmmm, I wonder why?

These applauders of Chavez remind me of a group of high-schoolers who have lost at a soccer game and are now out to lynch the winners. Their applause is motivated by envy, fear and hatred of the United States because the existence of our success is a slap in the face when they look in the mirror and see their own failure. Instead of taking responsibility for their own failure they seek to blame others; and in doing so perpetuate their ineptitude and second class status.
We have nothing to gain by participating in the Copenhagen talks except more window dressing for the libs to be able to point at and say look how much we care about the environment. The applauders of Chavez, on the other hand, aren’t there because of their love for the environment but instead are there to try to gain allies in their attempt to bring us down and “level the playing field,” the great dream of socialists everywhere.

And I wonder where the Third-World chowderheads think that $400 billion each year they are demanding from the West is supposed to come from? Oh I know! Capitalism!

Just an observation. I’ve been in the health care field for 30 years now and, in my opinion, Chavez exhibits all the classic text book symptoms of severe paranoid schizophrenia that is either undiagnosed or under-treated. Perhaps Fidels “envy of the entire civilized world” health care system could help old Hugo out.

    “…down with imperial dictatorships…”

Yes, let’s get this right, and have a thuggish, repressive, human-spirit-crushing dictatorship like yours or your mentor’s, Fidel’s. That would just about get all the mindless dweebs at the conference peeing down their legs. That’s exactly what the mindless Won wants, isn’t it?

It’s amazing how many articles have been in the local fishwrap that tell us the pilfered e-mails don’t count, the science is still sound!

I wonder what I’m missing out of all this? I mean, wasn’t the point of the pilfered e-mails that the science ISN’T sound, it’s as corrupted as the sleaze buckets pushing it?
