The last thing the jackasses want in the “negotiations” is for the public to be in on them as observers. If they were, they’d know what was being stuck in the revised bill (pork and all) and would run every legislator out of town on a rail. They might even (gasp!) figure out the bill does nothing but increase costs and decrease services.
And the jackasses say they’re for the little guy and against big business! Never in the history of our government (with the exceptions of the TARP and the stimulus bills) has one party been so determined to reward big business and keep it screwing the public in ever increasing and unethical ways.
Nope, better to keep things concealed, and that way you can keep the background white noise down to a manageable level.
On the subject of health care, Nancy Pelosi’s global O cooling is not to be missed. And a preemptive “sorry” if you posted that video and I missed it.

Part of me refuses to believe that any politician could even think, “Hey, I can lie – nobody will ever figure it out” in the twenty-first century. YouTube, blogs, video cameras…it’s just too easy to go back and see exactly what was really said and done.

Sarah, I can answer your question. Most Dem. politicians believe that their electorate is stupid and will just pull the lever for the party. When was the last time the party was held account?? 1994??? These guys are punch drunk with their present power, and quite honestly the American people who are very long suffering, are realizing the mistake they made. 2010 should be an eye opener as I believe that our present administration is not going to be able to resolve or present high unemployment problems, and We the People are going to kick the bums out. – Lorica
