The hits keep on coming on this, now we find that that vaunted “peer review” means loads of advocacy environmentalist stuff from WWF and Greenpeace, with no oversight or review at all. It was bad enough that they were corrupting the peer review process as Climategate demonstrated, but this is far worse.

Don’t hold your breath waiting for them and Uncle Al “Manbearpig” Gore to have their Nobel prize pulled…

You’re not really surprised or anything by this, are you?

As nearly as I can tell, the political/emotional impetus for all of this is a desire to sock it to Americans, because we are so unjustly wealthy and we consume so much of the world’s resources; we simply need to be taken down a peg or three — and our wealth redistributed to others whenever possible.

So, what’s Algore doing when he’s not flitting hither and yon in his giant carbon footprint private jet? Running the worldwide (dis)information campaign outlining the climate disasters we’re about to have unless we submit to the draconian tyranny of those who know better than us, I’ll bet.
